My Silent Scream: Planned Parenthood Abortion Stats

*This post has been one of my most popular since it was written.  If the post has been a blessing or of interest to you, would you kindly bless me with a comment and a blog following? Thanks in advance!

I don’t feel too well right now. I’ve put myself through research about what I didn’t want to know and in doing so, I read things and saw photos I didn’t want to see. It’s the reason I don’t feel well right now. Why would I do that to myself? I’ll answer that later. **

In the wake of the media firestorm regarding Susan G. Komen for the Cure and its affiliation with Planned Parenthood, I did some research…just because. As I did, I found myself flooded with a myriad of emotions. Anger, deep despair, and anguish. I also found myself manifesting physical symptoms—a pounding, tachycardia and palpitations, a headache, and a fight to hold back the tears. And I felt sick. Physically, emotionally sick.
This is my research. I'm guessing few of you will put yourselves through learning about something so controversial. It’s nauseating. It’s frightening. It’s real. But for those of you whose curiosity is piqued, here it is:
As you read the stats, I want you to know that the abortion numbers are Planned Parenthood’s own. The profit amounts are approximations based on the research and not verified by PP. However, whatever the exact amounts are, one must wonder if the agenda is truly “women’s rights,” "women's healthcare," or something more. Money has a funny way of blinding humans who will do whatever it takes to get as much of it as they are able. Abortion is profitable. Very, very profitable. The following equations represent how many abortions were performed by PP and the average cost per procedure each year. If cost was not available, the cost of the preceding year was used.
2004: 255,015 X $400 = $102,006,000
2005: 264,943 X $450 = $ 119,224,350
2006: 289,750 X $450 = $130,387,500
2007: 305,310 X $450 = $137,389,500
2008: 324,008 X $450 = $145,803,600
2009: 332,278 X $490 = $162,816,220
2010: 329,445 X $500 = $164,722,500
2,100,749=Abortions performed by Planned Parenthood since 2004 at an approximate profit of $962,349,670.

Americans killed in war:
American Revolution: 25,000
Civil War: 625,000
WW1: 116,516
WW2: 405,399
Vietnam: 58,151
Total: 1,230,066 (or 870,683 less lives lost in five major wars in than abortions performed by PP in just seven years.)
“While the Harvard case study does not refer to "abortion" when discussing Planned Parenthood’s raison d’etre, its financial report shows this to be a key source of revenues.  (Roman, 2009).
** As long as there are children who are the victims of someone’s greed, I will not be silent. (Enough said).

UPDATE: According to their online documents, Planned Parenthood performed 333,964 abortions in 2011, 327,166 in 2012, and 327,653 abortions nationwide in 2013 adding a staggering 988,783 babies aborted in just three years in the United States. Currently, prices for each abortion range between $390-1090 depending on weeks of gestation. For the abortion pill, the cost is $360. The numbers of abortions for 2014 have not been published as of this update.

  3. Not to make this more upsetting, but if you take the total casualties of every single war the US has ever fought, 1,343,812 from the Revolutionary War to the present, Planned Parenthood has still caused 756,937 more deaths in just 6 years.

  4. Sorry, your number needs to be corrected. It is 870,683 more babies killed by abortion than the wars (according to your numbers). I thought you might want to fix this so that it is correct. Thanks for doing the research!

  5. On De-funding PP: We have in Texas. Another abortuary shut down yesterday. The feds are threatening to fight over it. I think the response they are likely to get from our governor and legislature will be the same one the Mexicans got when they told the Texicans (as they were called back then) to surrender their cannon: "Come and Take it." 6. ‎"A Nation that kills it's own children is a Nation without hope" Pope John Paul II. God's justice will not be late. May every child receive the infinite justice of God against those who dared to take their lives! IK

  7. We all wonder why this nation is so in debt, but keep killing our own & there is no financial support coming into from where it is necessary to fund the SS system & taxes that support things . Illiegals don't pay taxes either. BUT they sure know how to get free everything they want while our own lack. STOP ABORTION NOW> ER

  9. Susan B. Komen Foundation supports PP, even though there is proven scientific & medical evidence linking a woman, to be at high risk for breast cancer after having an abortion...it's mind-boggling...AP

  11. I bet there are as many couples who cannot have children of their own, who would have loved each one of those children. Horrific stuff. MM

  12. ‎"But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love, and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even his life to love us. So the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love - that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion. " Mother Theresa (Joe R.)

  13. the "agenda" is and always will be women's rights. i want to know that the option is available to me if i were to ever need it. i dont want a man deciding that for me. plain and simple. all those who pass judgement on other human beings decisions should be ashamed of yourselves. newsflash: you are not perfect! you dont know what circumstances drove those women to this extreme. stop thinking about you for once.

    1. I cannot see how fighting for the rights of millions of unborn children is thinking about me. And there are many solid ways to prevent pregnancy making millions of abortions a poor excuse for failing to take those precautions. Abortion is NOT birth control, it's murder, plain and simple. Those who use it as such have brought harsh judgement on themselves. And for the majority of those women, the circumstances that drove them to this extreme was their own failure to protect themselves. I will never, ever, ever be able to understand anyone's justification of ripping a child from limb to limb inside its mother's womb. Yes, that's graphic. Abortion is a graphic crime against humanity.
